Art is everywhere at Le Hameau des Baux throughout the year: in the rooms, where original editions and works of art by emerging and established artists are displayed; in the common areas and outdoors, where exhibitions are held several times a year; and in the artistic residence, which opens in autumn. Our philosophy at Le Hameau des Baux is to offer our guests a friendly, no-holds-barred approach to contemporary art, where we dare to ask questions and observe in ways other than with our hands behind our backs.

Common areas
an exhibition space open to all

Under the impetus of Constance Breton, artistic director and curator of the premises, the common areas regularly host exhibitions in collaboration with local and international galleries, all of whose works are available for sale.

An Actes Sud bookshop takes pride of place in the lobby, while playlists by artist Samuel Boutruche accompany the different moments of the day.

ARSENE WELKIN "Invisible rooms

From May 24, Double V Gallery (Marseille-Paris) will be showcasing the work of Arsène Welkin (born 1993 in Paris, lives and works in Arles). Driven by a quest for purity and contemplation, the artist develops a singular universe through still lifes and portraits in pastel and oil paint. In this exhibition, Arsène Welkin unveils an unpublished series inspired by his stay at the Hameau des Baux. Arsène Welkin has exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Madrid and New York, and his works are part of several prestigious collections, including the Tesoro Collection and the Thalie Foundation in Brussels...

An artistic ode to nature inthe privacy of your bedroom

Art is also present in the rooms of Le Hameau des Baux, all of which feature limited editions and original works of art - different in each.
Limited editions by internationally renowned artists - Sophie Calle, Barthélémy Togo, Eva Jospin, Laurent Grasso, Paola Pivi - rub shoulders with works by young contemporary artists: Charlotte Lebon, Lise Chevalier, Vincent Marcq, Edouard Taufenbach and Bastien Pourtou, Marcella Barcelo...

Some sixty works in all, each telling a story related to nature and its attributes in a humorous or poetic way.

Contemplate, be inspired, listen...

Sound bubbles are orchestrated by artist Samuel Boutruche. Depending on the space and the time of day, he creates a variety of playlists ranging from confidential to pop, mixing contemporary and classical, making the choice of sound as demanding as the quality of the food and the refined comfort of the hotel.

Le Hameau des BauxAplace dedicated to young artists

Driven by a desiré to support young contemporary creation, the hotel will open a multi-disciplinary artists' residency in the autumn.

Painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, video... all practices are welcome. A common source of inspiration - nature and the surrounding places of the Hameau des Baux - federates the work realized́ within the residence.
