Art is woven into every corner of Le Hameau des Baux throughout the year: in the guest rooms, which feature limited-edition prints and original artworks by emerging and established artists; in the common areas and outdoor spaces, where we host exhibitions several times a year; and through an artist residency program that begins in the fall. Offering our guests a friendly and unpretentious approach to contemporary art, where they feel free to ask questions and observe without feeling self-conscious, is also our philosophy at Le Hameau des Baux.

Common areas
an exhibition space open to all

Under the leadership of Constance Breton, the venue’s artistic director and curator, the common areas regularly host exhibitions in collaboration with local and international galleries, with all works available for purchase.

An Actes Sud bookstore is located in the lobby, while playlists curated by artist Samuel Boutruche provide the soundtrack for different moments throughout the day.

Exhibition: "The Flavors of the Alpilles, Echoes of the Hamlet" An artistic immersion

Starting April 1, 2026
‍Thisgroup exhibition brings together works created during the first artist residency at Le Hameau des Baux, which took place in the fall of 2025.
During their stay, Grégoire d’Ablon (photography), Claire Aguilar (painting), Robin Leforestier (painting), and Léna Théodore (crochet and textile design) each developed a series of works inspired by the landscapes of the Alpilles and the unique atmosphere of the Hameau.
Through observations of nature, fragments of daily life, and formal experiments, their practices engage in a dialogue to offer a contemporary interpretation of the region.

The exhibition is on view through the end of the summer, and all works are available for purchase.

An artistic ode to nature inthe privacy of your bedroom

Art also finds its way into the guest rooms at Le Hameau des Baux, each of which features limited-edition prints and original works of art—different in every room.
Limited editions by internationally renowned artists— Sophie Calle, Barthélémy Togo, Eva Jospin, Laurent Grasso, Paola Pivi—are displayed alongside works by emerging contemporary artists: Charlotte Lebon, Lise Chevalier, Vincent Marcq, Edouard Taufenbach, Bastien Pourtou, and Marcella Barcelo…

A total of some sixty works, all of which tell a story connected to nature and its attributes in a humorous or poetic way.

Sound bubbles are curated by artist Samuel Boutruche. Depending on the space and the time of day, he creates varied playlists ranging from niche genres to pop, blending contemporary and classical music, ensuring that the musical selection meets the same high standards as the quality of the dining experience and the hotel’s refined comfort.

Artist residency at Hameau des Baux

In the fall of 2025, the Hameau des Baux launched its first multidisciplinary artist residency, welcoming Grégoire d’Ablon, Claire Aguilar, Robin Leforestier, and Léna Théodore.
Invited to create while immersed in the Provençal landscapes, the artists developed works inspired by nature and the atmosphere of the place.

The works created during this residency will be presented in spring 2026 in the exhibition “Le goût des Alpilles, l’écho du Hameau,” on view throughout the Hameau.

ART in theGardens: An Artistic Stroll

Stroll through the hotel gardens to discover temporary art installations that change with the seasons.
Wrap your arms around one of the ancient oaks in the village square to experience the sound installation *Pulsations* by the duo Scénocosme. This work invites you to a unique sensory experience: in direct contact with the trunk, visitors perceive sound vibrations like an internal pulse. The tree thus becomes a link between earth and sky, but also a mirror of the human body, its bark evoking skin.
This intimate and soothing sonic breath is revealed only through physical contact with the tree, offering an organic and sensory immersion.
